BRUSSELS Nov 24 (Reuters) - The following are proposed mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures under review by the European Commission, and a brief guide to the EU merger process:
APPROVALS AND WITHDRAWALS:
-- Japanese automation systems maker Omron Corp 6645.OS and Ficosa International SA, a Spanish maker of auto parts, form a joint venture to make advanced driver assistance systems (approved Nov. 24)
-- MidAmerican Energy Holdings Co, present in energy businesses and controlled by investment group Berkshire Hathaway (BRKa.N: Котировки), to acquire power generation and energy supplier Constellation Energy Group Inc CEG.N (approved Nov. 24) -- Austrian IT services firm Raiffeisen Informatik GmbH, jointly controlled by commercial and investmant bank Raiffeisen Zentralbank Osterreich AG and Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederosterreich-Wein AG, acquires German software and license reseller PC-Ware Information Technologies AG (approved Nov. 24)
-- Japanese electronics conglomerate Fujitsu Ltd (6702.T: Котировки) to acquire the Netherlands' Fujitsu Siemens Computers Holding BV, a provider of IT services and products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (notified Nov. 20/deadline Jan. 6/simplified)
